Ancient Clan Fraser arms. Descended from Simon Fraser, 1160.
Arms: Azure, three fraises argent. (As shown in the Falkirk Roll, 22nd July 1298, Sable, six cinquefoils argent).
Crest: On a mount, a flourish of strawberries, leaved and fructed proper.
Motto: All my hope is in God.
Fraser of Lovat
Clan Fraser of Lovat of Aberdeenshire, Scotland; descended from Sir Simon Fraser, brother of Sir Alexander, chamberlain of Robert the Bruce and the family was often called MacShimi meaning son of Simon. First recorded at Lovat in 1367 when Sir Hugh Fraser was styled ‘dominus de Loveth et portionarius de Ard’ (lord of Lovat and portioner of Ard). Between 1456 and 1464, Hugh Fraser was created Lord Fraser of Lovat. In 1511, the chiefs first resided at Beaufort Castle.
Arms: Azure, three fraises argent; (sometimes quartered 2nd and 3rd, argent, three antique crowns gules, for Bisset).
Crest: A buck's head erased proper.
Motto: Je suis prest (I am ready)
