Clan Skirving of that Ilk, Scotland; found mainly in Haddingtonshire, Scotland. John Skirving was the standard bearer for the Earl Marischal at the Battle of Flodden in 1513. Alexander Skirving was a burgess of the city of Edinburgh, and his son Patrick was laird of the estate in 1667.
